My Cyber smart learning

This week i'v been learning how to edit my writing .So Sharon decided to help us by using a writing draft .She made it difficult for us by purposely making a lot of spelling mistakes .Our task was to fix the spelling mistakes and put different  parts of the story into the right column .   here is the story.

The Queen Visits Hokitika. We have been learning about the royal family and why we celebrate the Queen's Birthday. My teacher told us that she is a descendent of the Royal Family and the queen is like a corgi dog. We invited the Queen to visit our school for a hi tea to teach us about her life and why she is important to New Zealand. The photos that I have embedded below are of the Queen arriving in her extravagant car, our teacher meeting her on the red carpet and our class singing to her before eating in the morning. I found this task challenging because it was hard to use good words in my invitation. I like reading the recipe to make the cakes for the tea. It was cool seeing the roll Royce and the corgi dogs were funny. It was tricky making the English flags. I now know why we share the England queen but i wish we had a new Zealand queen. Have you ever wondered why we celebrate the queen's birthday? Do you do anything Royal on the birthday holiday? Can you believe she came to our school?
